Today it was announced that Disneyland’s opening on July 17th will be delayed.
Disneyland Resort had submitted a plan for approval to government officials to begin its phased reopening on July 9th, starting with Downtown Disney District and then followed by the theme parks on July 17th.
The State of California will not grant reopening approval until after July 4th, which makes this plan of action impossible for the Disney Company.
Disney has stated that the reopening for Downtown Disney District will remain July 9th. However, Disney has not announced another date for the theme parks. They have advised that more information is coming.
